Welcome do enjoy your stay.
This page is my whim......my thoughts and reflections on life....things that make me happy or sad....or perhaps a bit angry..
As anyone can quickly see when they visit my site.....I love beautiful things......I am particularly drawn to the Victorian era.....I also love the Rococo style of art and architecture of the 18th century......my fondest wish would be to redo an old mansion with all of the lavish wood carvings on the crown mouldings, chair rails, and stair bannisters.... something right out of "Gone With The Wind"......Tara would be just fine.
I also love any beautiful waltz.......and am a push over for any man who knows how to waltz well and asks me to be his partner.....a waltz the most romantic of all dances.
is a journey.......not a
If success is the path instead of the goal, then we've already arrived!
Have we not?
The world is what we perceive it to be....
why not let it be light.....
Man is Gods infinite joke - created with an ego that thinks he can manage a universe and only enough brain capability to tie his own shoe laces.
What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth
He said I am a most important part of his life......
Yet he allows little things to take the place of time we once shared.....
Does he not realize someone will step in and steal my heart away.....
I do not dwell on it because when it happens it will no longer matter....
A sweetheart once told me that absense makes the heart grow fonder....
After thinking about it I have decided it just makes one forget.......
People can not walk together in the light
until they can walk separately in the dark....
There is a part of me that wants to write,
a part that wants to theorize,
a part that wants to sculpt,
a part that wants to teach . . .
To force myself into a single role,
to decide to be just one thing in life,
would kill off large parts of me.
I recognize that I live now and only now,
and I will do what I want to do this moment
and not what I decided was best for me yesterday.

I have noticed that the prefered napping spot for the cat is any basket
full of fresh laundry........
Whenever I want to fine tune the art of relaxation......
I study my cat.........
I have noticed that the prefered napping spot for the cat is any basket full of fresh laundry........
I have noticed that people who dislike cats usually have a lot of difficulty when they can not control the people or the circumstance in their life.....
If you make a mountain out of a mole hill......
conquering it is doubly hard.......
and it is likely no one will want to help
I have decided that most of the things that I worry about are trivia
and nothing I can control anyway so why bother.......
If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
on the days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
you could call your very own
a place to find serenity
a place to be alone~~~~~~~
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea~~~~~~
but all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
or catch a rainbow fair
but let me be what I know best...
a friend that's always there.
This wonderful poem was sent to me by a lovely lady named Kay McLemore.....
One of those wonderful encounters on the internet...what a special prize she is...
I thank you Kay.
I Want You to Wear Me Comfortably
I want you to wear me
as you would a dress,
or the silver necklace that you wear
around your neck.
Comfortably, so that I am always
next to you:
but most important--
something you decide
each morning to select.

The beautiful border flowers and frame on my header are the artwork of Bronwin Ross. The beautiful Victorian lady looking into the mirror is one of the wonderful works of Harrison Fisher...circa 1908.
